Valerie's interest in photography began in Lynton Devon as a child, where her grandfather owned the pharmacy store. After working for Exmoor National Park in her early 20's, she moved to Yorkshire, where her first postcard view was published. In 1997 she returned to Devon with her husband Alex, and together they founded The Picture Postcard Company.
